Justification
The program is inserted in a context in which societies evolve and develop, together with rapid advances in the field of Information and Communication Technology. Under this global scenario, it opens the way to graduate graduates with a high-level training in Computer Science for scientific research and technological development.
Goals
To train high level specialists able to innovate, develop and apply new technologies for computer science, participating as leaders of work groups in solving problems of public and private sector.

Prospective Students
Graduates of careers related to computer science, mathematics and physical areas, biomedical science, as well as all professionals interested in acquiring a deep knowledge in the theory and techniques of modern computing.

Relevant Aspects
The Research Computing Center CIC has a highly qualified faculty, most are members of the National System of Researchers.
Master in Science students may carry out a research stay from 3 to 6 months in national or foreign institutions, complementing the research of the thesis.
The CIC has a specialized library with more than 12,000 titles, with access to databases of electronic books and journals, the Center also publishes the journalComputación y Sistemas” recognized in the Mexican Journal Index of Scientific Research and Technology.
The CIC has adequate facilities and modern laboratories equipped, it also has the cooperation and support of the Center for Nanoscience and Nano and Microtechnology of IPN.
Collaboration with other institutions
In the USA (University of Oklahoma, San Diego Supercomputer Center), in Spain (Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, Universidad de Cartagena, Barcelona Supercomputing Center), with the European Union (Freie University of Berlin, Moscow Lomonosov University and partner universities in the Alfa Network), in Chile (Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile).
Companies: Intel, Microsoft, LACCIR; SANDIA; Mosis, Mentor Graphics, PEMEX, STC Metro, IMP and MINATEC among others.
Admission Criteria
To be admitted as a student, an applicant must:

1. Possess professional qualification degree.

2. To approve the admission process of the Center for Computing Research.

3. Submit two proficiency test of English language skills through nationally or internationally recognized examinations.

4. Cover the applicable tuition and fees.
